At our free monthly meetings we invite guest speakers to explain subjects of interest to our membership.
We also host events and activities, and promote other like minded organisations' activities that could interest our membership.
Our newsletters contain summaries of our guest speaker sessions and list upcoming events.
Oak Tree Retirement Village has offered their Norman Gardens venue for our meetings and activities.

Credentialled Diabetes Educator, Helen Sutcliffe, will lead a support group for people with Type 2 Diabetes.

Days for Girls
Days for Girls is committed to supporting a girl throughout her entire life cycle, from providing her with a DfG Kit, to teaching her health education, to offering training for her when she gets older so that she can produce DfG Kits and support hygiene needs in her community.
Donations are accepted for:
- girls and womens cotton brief underwear sizes 8 - 16 (no boy or thong styles or animal patters, please.)
- face washers
- hotel size soaps
- double zip lock Hercule bags.

World Kindness Day
The Common Thread - kindness in your DNA.
National Seniors, Capricornia Branch is keen to connect with speakers, service clubs, service providers and local artisans who would like to share their kindness projects and maybe add a "how to" demonstration to be part of a very special event.
Preference will be given to locally made, grown or cooked arts and craft or food, relaxation, meditation or similar products and services. You may take orders on the day or take pre-Christmas orders.
Set up from 7 am or on the afternoon before.
How to use your mobile phone, tablet, or laptop with confidence.
This 8 week course is for beginners with limited or no computer skills.
Learn the very basic first steps, how the device works, how to stay safe on line, social networking, using a digital camera, creating files, online shopping, connecting with others and even a couple of sessions that are more personalised to help you get the most out of your device for you.
