Just when you thought it was adios amigos for Australian viewers, the moody, enigmatic Don Draper returns to television screens in August.

Set in the ruthlessly competitive advertising world of 1960s New York, the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning series, Mad Men, is a sleeper hit and one of the best programs on television.

Sexy and provocative, it revolves around the conflicted life of Don Draper, the biggest ad man in the business, and his colleagues. As Don makes plays in the board room and the bedroom he struggles to stay ahead of rapidly changing times and the young executives nipping at his heels.

At times shockingly sexist (were we really like that?!), Mad Men explores the true human nature beneath 1960s family values. If you haven’t already, give it a go.

Mad Men, series 2, returns to SBS ONE Sundays, 9.30pm from 22 August 2010.
