Share your stories of how you found your feet in retirement

National Seniors members know only too well that you can discover joy from new hobbies by stepping out of your comfort zone.

Around the country, our branch members and others are proving that every day by joining walking groups, heading to the gym, travelling, taking up dance lessons, attending University of the Third Age classes, helping others through Volunteers Abroad and other charitable groups, and a raft of other activities.

National Seniors is joining forces with the promoters of a new British film called Finding Your Feet, due out on 22 February. Starring Imelda Staunton, Timothy Spall, Celia Imrie, David Hayman, Joanna Lumley and Josie Lawrence, this feel-good comedy is about discovering that it’s never too late to start again.

And we’re looking for some of our Sydney or Melbourne area members to tell their personal stories of how they’ve ‘found their feet’ in their 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. These stories will be videoed and shared through social media channels, including our Facebook page.

So, if you live in Sydney or Melbourne, love life and aren’t shy about telling others about the activities you enjoy – whether they relate to something new you’ve taken up in retirement or perhaps a way of sharing the skills and expertise you’ve developed over a lifetime – we’d like to hear from you.

Please fill in the form below no later than COB Friday 19 January. We’re looking forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions, please email us or call Jess on (07) 3233 9145.
