South Australian pensioners and self-funded retirees who hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card can now apply online for their new cost of living concession.
The cost of living concession came into effect on 1 July 2015 and will see 205,000 households receive a $100 or $200 payment to put toward electricity, gas, water or council rates.
The concession is available to South Australian pensioners and self-funded retirees who hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card.
The new concession replaces the $190 council rate concession which was previously only for pensioners and self-funded retirees who owned their own home.
Applications can be made online at www.sa.gov.au/concessions/costofliving or by calling the Concessions Hotline on 1800 307 758.
