More NSW seniors will be able to shop online, get information and connect better with family and friends after a funding boost from the state government.
An extra 22 libraries will receive funding for Tech Savvy Seniors training after the program was launched in January last year to provide low cost or free training to help seniors use computers, tablets and smartphones, NSW Minister for Ageing, John Ajaka said.
“I am delighted to announce we are extending our training footprint to deliver Tech Savvy Seniors at an additional 22 libraries and community colleges, making the program available at now 92 locations,” he said.
In the past 12 months, the Tech Savvy Seniors program has trained more than 12,000 seniors in NSW.
