National Seniors has been actively engaged in reforming the aged care sector for many years.
Despite our best efforts, the system is still failing many older Australians.
We know there have been problems for decades under successive governments.
Recently, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a Royal Commission into aged care.
We strongly support this move.
The catalyst for the Royal Commission was a 4 Corners program, which highlighted many of tragic stories of aged care residents and families, we encourage you to watch this.
National Seniors is working on your behalf to ensure your voice is heard.
We have met with the Prime Minister and Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care Ken Wyatt. We’re contributing to the development of the Terms of Reference for the Royal Commission.
As part of the process, we are asking you to share your personal experiences of aged care.
You can share your stories, good or bad by completing the form below.
You can also help by signing up to the campaign for regular updates.
