Join us for a complimentary breakfast and an illuminating presentation from our National Senior’s CEO and pre-eminent researcher, Professor John McCallum.

Professor John McCallum, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Research, will speak on National Seniors Australia's recent research on the digital divide and how it impacts older Australians – including findings regarding seniors and scams.

Scams have been around for centuries, long before the advent of digital technology, but it has increased the opportunities massively and made them international.

The new frontier for elder abuse is now the internet.

Recent research conducted by National Seniors Australia suggests that older Australians have been using their lifetimes of experience to develop strategies to protect themselves from scams, whether in real life or online. Prof. John McCallum will share the results of this research in the context of a discussion of the resilience of older Australians at risk of abuse.

This is a free event but space is limited so registration is essential.
