Penguins show their form at Phillip Island circuit

What’s not to love about fairy penguins?!

At night they pop out of the ocean in little groups only to hesitatingly dive back in when not sure they can make it up the beach.

Once they’ve made up their mind though they can get up a surprising turn of speed. As BBC sports commentator Andrew Cotter found out in this pretend race commentary.

Cotter has become one of the pandemic’s viral hits after commentating the antics of his labradors, Olive and Mabel, in videos posted to Twitter.

His latest video is in collaboration with Visit Victoria and Phillip Island Nature Parks in a bid to keep the top tourist attraction in people’s minds even though the park remains closed to visitors.
