Digital Skills Challenge Childers: Fun, Facts and Online Safety Free Workshops | 4 Mar - 3 June 2026
National Seniors Australia is offering free, small-group digital skills training in Childers through the Australian Government’s Be Connected program. These friendly sessions will help build confidence, stay safer online, and learn practical digital skills for everyday life.
Tablets are supplied. There is no requirement for participants to bring their own equipment.
This program includes a structured series of weekly topics, with two compulsory sessions required by the funder.
Places are limited to 30 people over the entire course, with two compulsory sessions: 4th March and 20th May. If you cannot attend these sessions, you may complete the Digital Skills Checker independently via the Be Connected website.
As well as the two compulsory sessions, participants are required to attend an additional 2-4 sessions of their choice, and participants are most welcome to attend all sessions.

Harmony Day 2026 - A Celebration of Culture, Connection and Community with Childers Social Branch | 18 Mar 2026
In collaboration with Howard U3A, Childers Multicultural Friendship Group, Childers Neighbourhood Centre and the Isis Club, National Seniors Australia – Childers Branch invites the community to come together for Harmony Day 2026, a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion and belonging.
This community event celebrates the many cultures that make up our region through food, stories, displays and shared experiences. Harmony Day is about respect, understanding and connection, and everyone is welcome.
The event is proudly delivered in partnership with local community organisations and aligns with Harmony Week, which runs from 16 to 22 March 2026.
The Bundaberg Regional Council Community Services Program provided $4640 to Childers National Seniors towards delivery of this event.
Tickets: $20 per person
Tickets include the seven-course tasting experience and all event activities.
Places are limited and bookings are essential to assist with catering and planning. Please register early to secure your place.
