What is Support at Home?
Support at Home will replace Home Care Packages in providing in-home aged care for many people from 1 November 2025.

More aged care videos can be found on the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing YouTube page.
A number of aged care videos in languages other than English can be found on their playlist here.

The new Aged Care Act and system launched on 1 November 2025 is not an end, but a beginning. There is still much to do to improve aged care for older people.
National Seniors Australia continues to advocate for more home care places to reduce the wait time for Support at Home. We are also calling for solutions to the problem of older people being unnecessarily stuck in hospital and for greater financial transparency of aged care providers.
By contributing to this campaign, you will play a large role in creating a safer and adequately resourced aged care sector, ensuring that older Australians have confidence in the care system.
