The Coorparoo Branch is one of National Seniors' oldest branches - and very active socially. Our monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday each month (Feb-Nov) with morning tea, guest speakers, local and national NSA updates, raffles and fun activities. Our previous venue was the Coorparoo RSL Club, but from 1 December 2025 they have relocated to the Parkside Community Services Club, 131 Ridge Street, Greenslopes. Our monthly meetings commencing from 12 February 2026 will commence at 9:30am for morning tea, with the guest speaker commencing at 10:00am followed by our general meeting finishing at approximately 11:30am.
There is ample off-street parking at both the front of the club off Ridge Street and rear of the Club off Pear Street. Bus access is within walking distance from the South East Busway Greenslopes station or Route 172 stop at Barnsdale Place.
Members also catch up on the third Monday each month at Easts Leagues Club for morning tea and a chat. There is ample free parking on site, or a short walk from the busway. We also host bi-monthly local trips around Brisbane using public transport. These are great informal ways to get to know fellow members outside the confines of a branch meeting.
Our branch members are very passionate about giving back to our local community, where we support the not-for-profit charity Care Kits For Kids and a local food bank through donations of items each month, as well as knitting beanies and scarves throughout the colder months which are donated to the Mission to Seafarers Brisbane. We also support other deserving charities with cash donations throughout the year.
We are a small, friendly group and welcome new members and guests to any of our activities.

Be Connected is an Australian Government initiative empowering all Australians to thrive in a digital world. There are online learning resources as well as a network of community partners who offer support to help develop your digital skills and confidence.
If you are interested in increasing your confidence, skills and online safety using digital technology, or would like assistance and training on actually getting online, Freya Tienan has completed the National Seniors Digital Mentoring course and may be able to assist. Contact Freya on 07 3397 3304 or 0409 397 330 to see if she can help.
Supporting Mission to Seafarers Brisbane
Our members kindly knit beanies and scarves which are donated to the Mission to Seafarers in November each year. These items are given to any crew members visiting Brisbane who may need warm clothing when their ships are heading to colder climates.
Supporting the Parkside Community & Services Club (formerly the Coorparoo RSL)
As the Parkside Community & Services Club supports our club through discounted meeting rates, we encourage our members to also join the Parkside Club. Membership is only $2 per calendar year and scanning your membership card during each visit earns you points for later redemption on food and beverage purchases. You'll also receive food and beverage discounts, club vouchers, member only promotions and a birthday gift!
Please see the Club reception to renew or join for 2026 at their new premises Parkside Community & Services Club, 131 Ridge Street, Greenslopes, from 1 December 2025.
Supporting a Community Pantry Drive
We have started supporting a local community food pantry by supplying good quality non-perishable food items that can be passed on to help the needy and homeless in our area. Items such as biscuits, long-life milk, juice, canned tuna/vegetables/fruit etc. that can be easily opened and doesn't need heating.
If you would like to assist, please bring items along to our monthly meetings where we will collect and distribute them to a local organisation. Please ensure that all items are well within use by date.
