Special Event - Would you like to do something—big or small—to help end homelessness in our region?
Regular catch up is 10am-11am
followed by special guest speaker
from 11am:
Jodie Price, Service Coordinator, Wide Bay Zero
Would you like to do something—big or small—to help end homelessness in our region?
As promised, the Childers National Seniors Branch April catch‑up will begin as a relaxed “let’s just chat and get to know each other” session from 10.00–11.00 am.
With Easter approaching, and mindful that many people experience homelessness during this time, members felt it was also an opportunity to learn more about how the Branch might contribute to ending homelessness in the region—particularly for women over 50.
From 11.00 am, Branch members are delighted to welcome Jodie Price from Wide Bay Zero, who will share an overview of the campaign and its current focus. The initiative is in its foundational phase, working to target what’s needed, strengthen local partnerships, and raise awareness of homelessness and its challenges.
Jodie’s presentation will be followed by an informal round‑table discussion for anyone interested in learning more or exploring ways to get involved.
All are welcome—whether you’re simply curious or keen to contribute.
