Is this your lucky day?
Many NSA supporters have won big in the Play for Purpose raffle. Next time, it could be you.

Key Points
- Three first prize winners in the last 20 months
- 229 minor prize winners, worth $769,680
- NSA receives 50% of ticket sales to support our advocacy work
There’s no denying that good fortune has been on the side of National Seniors Australia (NSA) supporters who’ve bought tickets in the Play For Purpose raffle.
In the past 20 months alone, three lucky winners have taken home first prizes worth $250,000 each.
NSA members have also secured an incredible total of 229 minor prizes, worth $769,680, cementing our reputation as the “lucky” organisation in this charity raffle.
Because NSA receives 50% of ticket sales to support our important advocacy work on behalf of older Australians, it’s a win-win situation.
WINNER ONE: NSA’s most recent big winner in December 2024 was a Brisbane woman who received the surprise of a lifetime just before Christmas when she discovered that her Play For Purpose ticket had won her a $250,000 prize pack.
“My husband’s not going to believe this,” she said when advised of her win. “He was actually the one that bought me the ticket.”
The couple had been supporting NSA for some time, and the win made their holiday season even more special.
“My husband always loves supporting things like that and giving back. He always supports National Seniors Australia.”
WINNER TWO: It was a similar story in March 2024 when a South Australian couple received a life-changing phone call informing them of their $250,000 win in Raffle 22.
The husband exclaimed, “Is this for real? I can’t believe it. We never win anything!”
After seeing an advertisement for Play For Purpose, he decided to take a chance, ensuring his ticket supported NSA.
“I checked that it was a genuine raffle, and I saw I could purchase a ticket in support of National Seniors Australia. I thought, ‘Well, I’ll have a go at that!’”
The decision paid off handsomely, and the win came at the perfect time.
“We chose to support National Seniors Australia because we’re both seniors ourselves,” he said.
“We’re finding it a bit tough now, so we wanted to support other seniors in a similar boat."
WINNER THREE: A Sydney couple’s dream of travelling Australia became a reality after they won first prize in Play For Purpose Raffle 19, drawn in June 2023.
The couple, who had long supported NSA, won a Volkswagen Crafter Kampervan and more than $100,000 in gold bullion.
The husband could hardly believe their luck. “Wow,” he said. “I only bought the tickets last night – right before the draw closed!”
As passionate grey nomads, the couple had been planning a trip across to Western Australia but had struggled with the cost of renting a campervan.
Now, with their very own van, they can explore the country in comfort. “This is just wonderful,” the husband said. “We’re retired, and we’ll make plenty of use out of it.”

Could NSA members strike gold again? The upcoming Play For Purpose Raffle 26 offers another spectacular $250,000 first prize pack.
The lucky winner will take home a stylish Range Rover Velar, featuring cutting-edge technology and hybrid flexibility.
The prize also includes more than $86,000 in cashable gold bullion, giving the winner the freedom to spend, save, or invest.
Raffle 26 closes at 8pm AEST on Thursday, 20 March 2025, with winners announced on Friday, 21 March 2025. Tickets are just $10, and with NSA’s track record, it may just be another lucky ticket for a member!
