Uncover the wonders of Norfolk Island
Small but mighty, Norfolk Island punches way above its weight when it comes to natural beauty, culture, and history. Capture the best of island life.

The flight from Sydney only takes 2.5 hours, but by the time you’re whisked into the beautiful Castaway Norfolk Hotel, home for seven nights, it’ll feel like you’ve slipped into another realm. ‘A Night on the Bounty’ welcome dinner adds to the intrigue, and sets the scene for a week of exciting exploration and fine dining.
From Polynesians to mutineers, convicts, explorers, and even a famous author, each day will unveil various elements of an island fringed by golden beaches, dotted with the distinctive Norfolk pines and filled with riches. Orientate yourself on the Discover Norfolk tour; delve into the world of author Colleen McCullough who lived, wrote, and passed away on the island; reflect on harsh convict times during the Kingston graveyard tour; and be moved by 1856 The Untold Story—a recount of the arrival of 194 Bounty mutineers, descendants from Pitcairn Island.
On the last full day, you’ll head off-road on a 4WD adventure along cliff edges, gazing into valleys full of seabirds, followed by the Island Cultural tour where you’ll be welcomed into a home steeped in history that weaves together how the past has shaped present day Norfolk Island.

Dinners bring cultural immersion to another level. There’s the Commandant’s Dinner by candlelight with renditions of convict-era stories, the ‘Who Killed the Surveyor’ dinner, where you’ll travel back to 1859 to help solve a murder mystery, a chance to dine with families in their homes at the famed ‘Progressive Dinner’, and the finale to reflect on the trip with new-found friends at the swanky Bailey’s restaurant.
