Volunteer Energy Champions needed

Make a difference by supporting older Queenslanders to make wise energy choices.

Sponsored Story

Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland knows many older people are experiencing cost of living pressures and that energy-related expenses make up a significant proportion of regular household expenditure.

To respond to this, COTA is running a new statewide program called Energy4Seniors, which has been funded by the Queensland Government to help seniors better understand their energy use and costs.

Delivered by local people across Queensland, the program will build awareness and provide useful information and tools to enable older consumers to make wise energy choices.

You can make a difference by becoming a Volunteer Energy Champion.

As a Volunteer Energy Champion, you will play a vital role in connecting with your local older community members, offering face-to-face information sessions within your community through your connections with a range of community-based organisations such as clubs, and social and volunteer groups. You will be trained and provided with ongoing support.

Ready to take the next step?

Working as a trusted source, you can make a difference in the lives of older people by empowering them to make wise energy choices.

Find out more and register your interest in becoming a Volunteer Energy Champion, by Sunday 4 August 2024, here.
