Game Changers and Laurel Nannup Exhibitions and Lunch at Citiplace Community Centre: Thursday 24 August 2023

• Brief Details: This is a day trip to the WA State Library. The Outdoor exhibition is titled Game Changers: Trailblazing stories from WA women in soccer. As Perth is swept up in soccer fever, the State Library spotlights stories from the women's game in WA and celebrates the pioneers who have shaped it. Outside the State Library, have a kick and score a goal in an interactive exhibition space.
The Indoor exhibition is titled: What Road Are You Going to Take? This is a personal exhibition of artworks by leading Nyoongar printmaker, Laurel Nannup, lovingly curated by her son and artist, Brett Nannup. Presented alongside State Library heritage collection materials, objects and photographs that provide context to the Mission experiences and stories depicted in her extensive body of work.
• Cost: Transport on the Seniors Card is free. Members pay for their own lunch/Tea/Coffee
i. Cup of Tea $2.00; Cup of Coffee $2.20.
ii. Lunch Main meals (includes vegetables) $9.00; Vegetables only $4.50; Soup with bun $4.00; Dessert $3.50. The theme menu for full hot meal on Thursday 24 August 2023 is Roast Lamb & Mint Sauce or Vegetable Lasagna
iii. Dessert $3.50
