An Eighty-Year Odyssey of Life's Experiences, Adventures, and Unfolding
From the aerated cushion on the self-propelled wheelchair that was provided following more than 7 months in hospital – months that began with awakening from surgery to find I had no feeling from the waist down – it seemed a timely moment to express, in the form of a letter, a conversation to a distant relative.
It was a moment to reflect upon the experiences of my extraordinary unfolding life.
From a post-war childhood in a humble suburban home, my journey extended to the icy northern regions of Norway and eventually to the southernmost reaches of Tierra del Fuego, at the very gateway to Antarctica.
This letter shares with my fellow Earth School traveller some of my early growing pains, along with stories of my marriage, moving to a rural area, raising a family, and cross-continental adventures – all set alongside an insatiable quest for the Truth and the Love that is God.
