Synopsis:
When Helen’s beloved father passes away, she is overtaken by grief and loses herself in memories of their time birding and exploring the natural world together. She becomes obsessed with the idea of training her own goshawk, bringing the fearsome bird Mabel home to Cambridge.
As Helen embarks on the arduous process of training the wild hawk, she retreats from the world around her. But through the demanding bond between human and animal, she slowly confronts the depth of her own loss and discovers a path toward healing.
Based on Helen Macdonald’s internationally bestselling memoir, H IS FOR HAWK is a visually striking and deeply moving story about nature, grief and the possibility of renewal.
