DI Mick Palmer (Stephen Moyer, True Blood) runs the Heritage Crime Unit, investigating murders and thefts in the shadowy world of art and antiquities. When sharp young detective Shazia Malik (Nina Singh, Virdee) helps him crack the murder of an art historian, he recruits her to the team. Together, they tackle cases involving a stolen Viking hoard, dark secrets at a Cornish recording studio, a sabotaged wine tasting, and the death of a Titanic‑obsessed millionaire. As Shazia adjusts to independence from her protective family, Mick navigates a new romance with museum curator Rosa (Sarah Alexander, Coupling) and the sudden return of his estranged father, a notorious art forger (Larry Lamb, Gavin & Stacey).
