National Seniors members and subscribers to our monthly Money Matters newsletters will be able to read informed articles by Paul Clitheroe and Effie Zahos from leading digital financial advice platform, InvestSMART.

They will write on issues affecting seniors, including investing for retirement, interest rates, the share market, and superannuation.

These articles will complement National Seniors’ existing editorial content, and our advocacy on issues of concern to seniors, including the cost of living, concessions, better housing, and pension poverty.

Paul has been involved in the investment industry since he graduated from the University of New South Wales in the late 1970s.

He has been a media commentator and conference speaker for more than 30 years and is regarded as one of Australia's leading experts in the field of personal investment strategies and advice.

Paul hosted the popular Channel 9 program Money, helped establish Money magazine, where he now acts as editorial adviser, and is the author of several personal finance books.

Effie has more than two decades of experience helping Australians make the most of their money. After three years as an independent director of InvestSMART, she became Chief Content Officer and Money Commentator for the business earlier this year.

Effie is also the regular money expert on Channel 9's Today Show. She was editor-at-large of Canstar for four years and before that was editor of Money magazine.

Passionate about financial literacy, Effie sits on the board of directors for Ecstra, a not-for-profit organisation committed to building the financial capability of all Australians.

Also under the InvestSMART umbrella are The Eureka Report, edited by Alan Kohler, and Intelligent Investor.

NSA members also have access to speak to our financial information consultant, who can provide up-to-date independent financial information on topics such as superannuation, taxation, downsizing, Home Equity Access Scheme, aged care, estate planning, age pension, and more.
