Deals done and dollars secured, but what about stranded patients?
NSA CEO Chris Grice sits down with ABC Brisbane Radio to discuss the $25 billion in additional federal funding for state and territory hospitals, and how more can still be done to help stranded patients.

The recent national cabinet meeting saw the federal government agree to provide $25 billion in additional funding for state and territory public hospitals. While hospital funding is always welcome, the funding agreement will not help older people receive the care they need outside of the hospital system unless some of this “new” money is used to fund aged care in suitable locations for those with specific needs. NSA would also like to see a cross-government taskforce to develop targeted solutions to ensure the needs of older people stranded in hospital are prioritised, as NSA Chris Grice shared with ABC Brisbane Radio.
