Support at Home fact sheets available

As the launch date for the new program approaches, the government has released a new series of fact sheets.

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is improving in-home aged care to help seniors live independently at home for longer.

The new Support at Home program will begin on 1 November 2025, replacing the Home Care Packages (HCP) Program and Short-term Restorative Care (STRC) program.

To help you understand what’s changing, new fact sheets have been developed.

They cover:

  • Service types and budgets to access care

  • The list of services you can get under Support at Home

  • How care management helps you use your aged care services well

  • Getting assistive technology and home changes to live at home safely

  • Extra funding for end-of-life support

  • Help to stay independent with restorative care

  • Managing your own services for more choice and control

  • Assistance for those experiencing financial hardship

  • Participant contributions.

You can find links to the fact sheets here.
