The October meeting will be held as usual at the Jindalee Bowls Club on Tuesday 5th October together with the annual plant sale. Please BRING and BUY plants.

Note that the November meeting will be on Wednesday 3rd November because of Melbourne Cup

Activities


'Steady Steps' seniors exercise class at Centenary Uniting Church hall, Riverhills Rd.

POST COVID19 - Corona restrictions apply. Payment CASH ONLY- (correct money please - NO change given).

Gentle exercise class run by a professional trainer (Ron). Includes some weights, bands, balance exercises, etc. Cost $7. Often followed by coffee and conversation at the local shopping centre.

about 9:00am for a start at 9:15am with exercises running to 10:15am.

Mah Jong

(Note - on the 3rd, 4th (5th) Thursdays each month, members are now also playing in the back room of Monier Hotel starting at or after 9:30 am.)

Social game of Mah Jong (we do not score) for interested NSA members. Beginners welcome - we play from "The Mah Jong Players Companion" by P.A.Thompson & B Maloney. The games are followed by lunch in the Mt Ommaney shopping centre food court.

9:00 - 11:59 am on first 2 Thursdays each month at The Hub, Mt Ommaney, Oldfield Room (upstairs)

Evening Dinner

Members meet at the selected restaurant each month to try the different venues and cuisines within the Centenary suburbs area or nearby. Each member pays for their own meal selection. (Dinner cancelled for August & September - COVID)

6 pm on the 2nd Wednesday each month - restaurant changes each month - see newsletter

Lunch at the Monier Tavern

Members gather for a social lunch at the Monier Tavern (Darra) on the 3rd Thursday each month. On Thursdays, Monier gives a 20% discount on main meals for seniors.

11:30 am for 12:00 pm on 3rd Thursday each month.

Coffee & Conversation

Activity has now resumed (April 2021) following relaxation of Covid restrictions.

Members meet for a social coffee and get together at the Mt Ommaney shopping centre food court.

Last Tuesday each month - Mt Ommaney food court from 10:00 am

Our August meeting and AGM have been rescheduled to Tue 31/8/21 due to lockdown. The proposed Explorer trip for August is CANCELLED. We sincerely hope that the September Bundaberg trip will be OK.

Speaker for July 6/7/21) is Councillor Sarah Hutton. Evening Dinner is at Icarus Restaurant, Goggs Road, opposite Home Base (14/7/21). Coach trip to Laidley for "Christmas in July" (20/7/21). Deposits are required at this meeting for Bundaberg trip.

At our June meeting on Tue 1st, entertainment will be provided by Billy Guy. Our June evening dinner will be at "La Bonne Saigon", opposite the Jindalee Bowls Club. The June Explorer trip will be by train to Cleveland.
