    About our branch

Joondalup Branch meets monthly with interesting guest speakers after a morning tea when you can meet new people and chat with friends.
We are an active group with monthly activities for lunches, morning teas and bus-trips. We also have a weekly walking group at various locations for a leisurely stroll followed by a social chat and refreshment.
ACT - visit the Joondalup branch. New visitors are welcome, at no cost.
BELONG - become a member and meet new friends.
COMMIT - participate in club activities to share, laugh and enjoy each other's company.
See the Activities page for more information.

    Activities

    Walking Group

The walking group visits various locations weekly, usually one of the beach paths in summer. Because the route is generally on a path, it is suitable for people with walking frames and sometimes dogs may be acceptable. Each person can walk as far as they are able in about 30 minutes so the return is the same length.

After the walk we generally sit under a shelter for a social chat with shared snacks and a flask of coffee/tea.

Toilets are generally located close by.

We start later in cooler months and visit inland locations.

    8.30 am on Mondays

    Morning Tea

Regular morning teas are usually at a Dome cafe and we change the venue each month.

This is a chance for a social chat with other members at your own expense.

They generally last about 1 hour.

10.00 am 1st Tuesday each month

    Monthly Luncheon

A luncheon is generally scheduled each month at various venues, usually on a Thursday but this may vary. This is another chance for a social chat at your own expense.

12.00 pm on 3rd Thursday each month

    Bi-annual Bus Trip

Twice a year we hire a Joondalup City Council bus to take us to interesting venues. Since this takes all day, we have lunch at a selected venue.

There is a cost for the bus hire and the lunch but the bus is subsidised.

eg. we recently visited Mandurah and had lunch at The Cut.

    9.00 am twice per year
