The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is reminding seniors that free, confidential support is available this tax season.

For more than 35 years, the Tax Help program has helped people meet their tax obligations.

If you earn $70,000 or less and have simple tax affairs, trained Tax Help volunteers can assist you in lodging your tax return, creating a myGov account, claiming franking credits, lodging amendments, and informing the ATO if you don’t need to lodge a return.

Appointments are available in person at one of the many Tax Help centres located around the nation, by phone, or online, making it easy to get help.

To find out more and book your appointment, visit ato.gov.au/TaxHelp or call 13 28 61 (select option 3, then option 2) for Tax Help services near you.
