About our branch


The aim of the Branch is to provide a contact point for Seniors to get together and engage in and promote social activities as well as be entertained and informed by a variety of guest speakers during the meetings. Currently we have over 140 members.

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month with the exception of December and January.

Arriving at 10am to register and partake of tea or coffee, then the meeting starts at 10.30am and usually continues to about 12.15 pm, when those who wish can attend lunch at the club after the meeting.

The meetings are held in Port Macquarie Golf Club, 698 Ocean Drive, Port Macquarie.

We welcome new visitors to join us at our monthly meetings.

500 Club - Port City Bowling Club

An afternoon of cards and socialising. Just come along and enjoy the company. Beginners welcome. Drinks and nibbles available at the club.

New Year Breakfast

Instead of a January meeting, catch up with members for a relaxing breakfast from 8.30am. James as usual will be there to greet you with tables set and the bbq heated ready for you to cook your BYO breakfast. Bill will be in attendance to sharpen your knives, scissors, and garden equipment. All items at $7 each, proceeds to our charity.

Australia Day 2026

But wait…there’s more, a second most informal relaxing event for your calendar in January! Who better to help us celebrate Australia Day than Dee and Steve. All Welcome and no need to advise, just come along from 11am. Once again with sophisticated tablecloths and Australia Day embellishments. BYO food and drinks, BBQ’s available. Feel free to bring/wear any Australia Day paraphernalia and enjoy an afternoon of fun and friendship. A chair might be more comfortable if you do not like bench seating.

We had a wonderful Christmas lunch at the Mercure Hotel. Great food and the staff could not do enough for us. Everyone seemed to have a great time, a bit of song and dace by the entertainers good fun, 11/12/25
This year, we had the running of the National Seniors Port Macquarie Cup. While twelve lucky owners anticipated the winner’s circle, the rest tried to predict the result. The winning owner turned out to be Lynda Walters who pocketed a very sizeable reward

Today was a day to put into the sports history books, records were broken, and humility reigned supreme at Sancrox Reserve for the NS annual Games. Gold winners were: Baz, Erica, Suzzanne and Ray. Great day was had by all. 6/7/25
The Winning Table from our Magic Mystery Car Tour. What a fun day everyone had driving in the backwoods of Wauchope collecting info on many things and trying to get to the final destination at Bago Tavern. Thanks Denise great job. 18/6/25
Our charity this year was "The Hope Foundation". Their aim is to physically, emotionally, and spiritually, elevate the lives of local people. Jenny from Hope accepted a cheque for $2700 and said this will buy an extra 50 hampers at Christmas. 10/6/25
Ballina Happy Hippy Tour, what a great time was had by 32 NS. We visited many place including the Margaret Olley Gallery at Murwillumbah. The last night was the Happy Hippy dance and enjoying the Allstars Cavalcade 21/5/25
Well look at this, one of our BBQ boats stuck with the oysters. They eventually got out with some help from their friends in the other boat. Great time was had by all. Beautiful weather and lovely people onboard. 7/5/25
Eighteen intrepid National Seniors took off on another adventure today and visited the new Koala conservation breeding program and hospital centre ‘Guulabaa,’ meaning 'Place of Koala' it was very interesting. 17/4/25
After touring the old and new Koala hospitals we carried on to Roto House and had a lovely lunch in one of their beautiful rooms. Very enjoyable, everyone had a great time. 17/4/25
A brief stop at Kempsey's monthly market followed by a drive to the Buffalo Farm where you can experience hand crafted gourmet dairy products made from buffalo milk, made right here on the farm. Food was very good. Good time was had by all 5/4/25
Great night of trivia at the Lions Den. The Lions had a table as well.

Australia Day BBQ at Sancrox Reserve. What a beautiful day! the weather was perfect, the company was perfect and everyone had a great time celebrating our wonderful country. We are so lucky to live in a free and egalitarian society. 26/1/25
Australia Day BBQ at Sancrox Reserve. John Urquhart threw the frisbee twice as far as anyone else, and he has done this before. The swabs we took have not come back, will keep you posted. 26/1/25

What a lovely afternoon at the Mercure Hotel for our Melb Cup celebration. The meal was good and the 50 people attending had lots of fun and games, there was fashions on the field, horse racing and Lots of sweeps. 5/11/24

Having a game of Pickle Ball at the new PCYC courts at Port. Coaching was given and then play started. Reports were that everyone had a great time, not too much of a pickle. Lunch after at the bowling club. 17/8/24
